Gear Vendors adapted to an IH 727

I have a 1970 1200D Travelette 2wd 392 Soon to get rebuilt and fuel injection added. I am planning on switching from the Borg Warner auto to a 727. I have searched all over this forum and the internet trying to figure out if the Gear Vendors adapter for the Chrysler 727 will work on the IH 727. I talked to GV and they said without hesitation that it would. Something in my mind just made me not really convinced. Months later I call GV to get pricing on a rebuild holy Crap tons of cash, I for fun and reassurance asked if this set-up would work the response was uhh I don't know the tail shafts might need changed in the transmission. The Chrysler has a slip yolk and the IH is bolt on.

Has anyone made this work and what did you have to do to make it work? Is it as simple as when you rebuild your transmission put a Chrysler tail shaft in and no other modifications? No I am not independently wealthy lol I found a guy that rebuilds GV and sells them reasonably if I have to spend the extra money to do the divorced style GV it seems like that cost even more to the point that I should consider a Chevy transmission conversion or just regear the diff and forget about it.
Oh yeah I want to tow a camper and 4 people across the country.
