Gas in engine oil pan

1969 800A, 304, T39, Holly 2300. This engine has less than 300 hundred miles on it. It does appear to have a intake gasket leak, as gas is sitting to the back of the valley pan, sometimes. In time the oil pan level increases and it smells clearly like gas on the dip stick. When I change the oil, it is definitely gas in the pan. I have the Carb adjusted decent. Not sure, is if this is not a carb problem.
 
Thank you, FDChappie for the input. I had the fuel pump on the list. The fuel pump installed is a cheaper non - rebuild able pump. I will take a look tomorrow
