Fuse Panel

Got a question for you guys. I have a 1972 International pickup with the 345, and im having some electrical problems. My head lights, side markers, guages (cept for fuel) and guages lights all work, but I have no other interior power, such as blinkers, heater, dome light , cigar lighter. I put a voltimeter to my fuse panel, and got nothing. I dont know if its a power supply problem, or if its the alternator, or what?

Since no one has answered....

You have to have power to the fuse block if anything electrical works -- afaik, the "power" runs from the alt / batt thru the ammeter to the fuse block and then out to everything else (I.e., the headlights / side markers would not work... If no power to fuse block).

Seems like you have multiple problems.

Do the parking lights / taillights work? Do the brake lights work?

Possible "fixes" for what you list:

turn signals -- fuse, flasher, turn signal switch in steering column -- maybe even grounds

heater -- fuse, siezed heater motor....

Dome light -- fuse (horn would not work, also), bulb, headlight switch (the dome light in my t/a used to work very intermittently until I replaced the headlight sw.)

cigar lighter -- fuse (?); burnt out element; wire disconnected
