Fuel System Cleaner

Do you guys recommend, or not, the use of fuel system cleaners in these old girls? I'm sure there's lots of build up in the system over the years but I also don't want to break up / dislodge stuff (that's stuck in place) that could then later float around and clog up something.

Imo all over the counter fuel system cleaners are snake oil. They are probably safe for late model injected cars and trucks but the old materials and such can be damaged. The techron product marketed by chevron is the best at having a chance of cleaning.

Fuel in it self is a great solvent so I'd avoid them in your IH.
