Front drive shaft yoke angle??

Ok so my issue is that the front drive shaft yoke on my d300 has about a +5* angle. This is causing my front drive shaft to bind at full droop. I used some 3/8 plate and made a spacer to go between the mount and the the drive assembly and this helped with the angle a little and before I go and make a bigger spacer I thought I would see if anyone has came across this issue or has a better idea.

How are your motor mounts?

If I recall the front output is always pointing up a bit as the factory made the compromise and set the rear angle down a bit.... So as you change stuff around it can just make the front worse....

I replaced the the trans and motor mounts about 2-3 years go with the rpt mount from ihon, they have about 5000 miles on them.

Your crossmember and transmission mounts all look to be installed correctly. The drivetrain came stock from the factory with about 5* slant for better rear driveshaft angle. There probably is going to need more pinion angle put into that front axle before you'll make a driveshaft reach and not bind. In conjunction you will probably need some offset driveshaft ujoints(sold on our online store) and even possibly some grinding/clearing of the yokes themselves. You can try first with the grinding of the yokes and the offset ujoints to see if that works.

Thank you Jeff I think the grinding on the yokes will be my best option. I do have an off set u-joint at the t-case all ready.
