front band question

Refer to the attached picture.

Does it matter which direction you install the front band? I noticed that the tabs where the strut and anchor attach do not extend all the way across the band. I just reassembled and installed the whole tranny and then noticed that the orientation of my front band is different than the pics here on the site. See below.

Good job finding the answer and more importantly, getting the band oriented correctly. That would have sucked for you had it been installed backwards.

It probably would be easier if the photos were oriented the same way. That helps avoid a lot of confusion.
