Frame ????

I picked up my donor Scout and was wondering if the frames are the same. If they are I am going to build off the truck frame and then as I take a piece off of mine I'm going to put it on the truck.

Mine is a 61 Scout 80

Donor is a 62 Scout 80 truck.

They're identical josh. The only difference between the two is the tops. In fact it was possible back in the day to purchase both the full top and the cab top all at once if one wanted to do so.

If ya end up piecing out the half-cab body, save the cab and windshield frame by all means! And...surgically extract the bulkhead and the bench seat base for use later or tradng material!

Yeah theres not much left to save on the body, its rusted up pretty good. But yeah I was goind to save the winsheld frame and the bench seat, and the back glass is still good.

The windshield frame is the best piece on the whole truck. The top flange is bent up pretty bad but it is solid and can be straightened. Hinge works perfectly. It is a rare piece in good condition. Someone out there needs one, such as someone who has an early top but the later windshield frame......
