Frame sleeves

I have a 1974 Scout 2 I'm doing a frame off restoration, so I won't be doing any major off roading.

Are the D & C frame sleeves (to stiffen the frame) worth it? I understand from what I've read and heard that when you put a scout on a 4 post lift the frame will twist enough to where the doors will not open.

Thank you.

almost any ladder frame vehicle i have put on a lift had door opening problems while up in the air. i think its probably more body sag then frame sag.

sleeves look ok to me, but not necessary. for some context over the years iv slammed so many rocks the rock sliders bent, but my frame never budged.

The only thing worth sleeving is the passenger side holes for the steering box on a RHD if you plan on installing a steering brace. Sleeving the front frame bumper bolts is also nice if you plan on running a winch. Typically, the frame is full of cracks, so check around.

As of right now I replaced the damage rear cross member with a heavy duty cross member and I have the x-brace for the front of the frame. Just haven't put it in yet. I also have to fix mt body bushing mounts on the frame because the 4 middle mounts are oblong. Haven't seen any cracks in the frame when I looked it over.

With the x brace that should bolt right in right? Or am I going to have to drill holes

The x-brace bolts in. If you want to go above and beyond and stand out as a pro, I'd sleeve the passenger side and plate the outside. I'd also plate the steering box side also.
