What's the focus here..."resto", mild, wild, anything goes, crawler???

We're about the most opinionated bunch of IH'rs on the planet, so let's narrow this down!

Welcome to the krew!

I think Mike's questions stand out the most to me.

My advice is simple. If you want to appeal to the majority of the IH crowd, keep it something they can do in there garage and keep it IH powered. We have an obscene love for 700 pound small blocks!!

Second, if you are going to go wild, still try and keep it something a normal middle class guy can do, keep it hopeful, we are all tired of pie in the sky tube buggy's. Been there done that!!

Third, if you are going to swap out the engine, for the love of god don't replace it with a sbc. It is the whore of engines!

Other then that, I have the distinct feeling that you are about to get a subscriber, once lost......back!:winky:

one more thing, if you are looking to fully engulf yourself in the IH "experience" feel free to come to the Great Western Binder Bee, in brooks oregon. Yes, it's a shameless plug for our club's (IHSTO) show, but an honest open invitation. There you will see everything from bone stock IH scouts and trucks to tube buggy's and dedicated trail machines. It's worth the trip!! Talk to me or Mike mayben if you've got anymore questions. He's the show chairperson and I the club president.

Is it safe to say that there will be a installment in the article on rust erradication? I'm sure any Scout fan who will pick up your mag will either have, had, or discover they have some rust to take care of.

I agree with carl that a low to medium budget will appeal to the most folks with IH iron. The over-the-top, spare-no-expense stuff is cool to look at...but I won't learn anything I can use on my rig if that's the outcome.

I'm already a subscriber, so...I'm be waitin'.
