It seems to all be there in the box wiring, mounting hardware, a bracket, and some bailing wire? Sorry for the bad resolution of the camera but its all I got. If anyone knows an info on it that would be great

Yep, looks like an accessory brake light....

My guess is from the 1920's or 1930's...

Any "copyright year" on the box / instructions

f w stewart mfg "was" a company -- maybe it is the stewart in stewart-warner???

Put it in google and got a "hits" in old (late 40's) popular mechanics magazines that had been scanned as part of the "google scan project". Did not go thru the whole magazine to find the fw stewart reference.

Worth wag - $10. - $100. ????

"high" value is for a "period" restoration or if there is somebody that collects these things (probably is somebody who does...)

F.w. Stewart was a gadget company.

I have a collection of popular mechanics from the 30's through the 50's and stewart was an advertiser in that rag for all sorts of stuff. Things for the shop, hobbyist, income potential tools for the mechanically inclined, and automobile owners. Some of their automotive products looked top notch; they had some really trick looking speedometers for 30's vintage vehicles.

I bet it would bring some bucks at a swap meet.

Great -- I was wondering. My google search did "return" posts with speedometer in them.

I scrolled thru one of the google scans today (1949 issue)...

I missed the f w stewart ad, but the others brought back some memories... And "how much "things" have changed"...

Like the boy Scout father who was a tv / radio repairman (own business), also ham operator, who helped us build a one tube radio for a merit badge....

Changes fer shure.

One issue of pm from the 50's(56?) had a feature article on die cast small, lawn mower size, 2 cycle engines. It's closing statement was they had a promising future for all sorts of engine powered products; oh yeah and don't forget the turbine powered cars and trucks. I only saw "one", the bat mobile.:)

Now that "triggered" the feeble memory bank:

chrysler actually made a turbine prototype

chrysler turbine car - wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
