Please post up if you plan on attending the fordyce trail run on Friday, October 9th. Michael dimock, our hardcore offroader extraordinaire trail boss, will be leading the run and will take a quick vote the morning of to decide which direction the trail will be run. Once the trail ride is complete you can then make the drive over to the Nevada County fairgrounds in Grass Valley for the remaining weekend festivities.

To make sure there is enough time to run the trail the departure time will be 8:00am at the cisco grove campground store parking lot.

At least one locker is required with two being preferred and a winch is also recommended. Having some form of rollover protection is a necessity and plan on bringing your own food/drinks. 35" tires are a minimum tire size for a heavy Scout. You will get body damage on this trail and there are several water crossings with the water levels varying depending upon the days water flow so extended differential and drivetrain vents is recommended. Break downs on this trail are not easy to recover and can make for a long day and night if you or your vehicle are not properly prepared. Being how dry California is this year it is required that every vehicle have a operational fire extinguisher with them.

If you or your vehicle are not ready to safely make the trail run you will be denied to run with this group. For those wanting to four wheel but not at the hard core level we will have an alternate run along yuba river where hwy 20 crosses(approximately 17 miles west of the fairgrounds). This group will meet at the fairgrounds and then depart from there.

So please post up to see who all will be going.
