ford drivetrain?

I have a 1970 800a original v8 4x4 with a standard transmission and that all I know really.
What im trying to accomplish is to build a off road vehicle tough enough to hit the boggs but flashy enough to hit the lake. Really that isnt to hard but im brand new to scouts and need a little push in right direction since this seems like the best place on the web for IH here I am.
I can get my hands on many axles and transfer cases but I work for a Ford dealer and have a stroker small block windsor in plastic awaiting a home im going with Ford drivetrain.
Now what axles are best 3/4 ton version year, make, model so on so forth and what length spings that will make for a easy install?
Plus any hints on where its best to put the motor mounts?
Any help is appreciated and I will be selling or giving away all the factory stuff it all depends on how good the advise is just kidding I will be getting rid of so if anything is needed.
Thanks

First off, there are literally hundreds of various axle/transmission/transfer case combos that can be swapped in and out of any vehicle platform man!

If you work in a Ford dealership, have a fresh Ford motor, then you should know better than anyone what transmission/transfer case/axle pair would work best for a Ford power unit!

While many of us do play around with engine/tranny/axle swaps, that is certainly not even a blip on the radar of our forum here which is an IH product-related business!

A 4x4 Scout 800 sv platform uses a rear axle that has a "centered" pumpkin since that is the output shaft alignment for the d20 transfer case. The front axle pumpkin "drop for the transfer case alignment is passenger side. That setup is the "easiest" to deal with when contemplating axle swaps. And by far, the most popular axle swap into a Scout 800 chassis is a pair of Scout II d44. Ford also used hundreds of variations of d44, d60, and d70 axles that have appropriate drops if you are going to retain a d20 transfer case, we can't do that research for you, our focus is International Harvester! And even tough IH used many Dana/spicer axles also, there are tremendous variations amongst all the different bom specs.

When you say "3/4 ton" axle, that could mean anything! And again, if you simply do the research on this site, you will find many references to the use of a Dana 60 axle set, a corporate axle set, built Ford 9", etc.

Engine mounts are gonna have to fabricated and that is done only after all the other components are decided upon as a matched set, including transfer case.

Everyone who plays in this sandbox has an opinion about this swap stuff, that is what hotrodding is all about.

It wasnt that I dont know what to run im just curious as to what ohter people have had luck with.
I have search the site with much info just not exactlly what I was looking for.
Im going to run a d44 front and a d60 in the rear the question I had was what year was best for these axles and most used or what is the ideal years.
Not trying to anger anyone just needed some info
thanks
