Whats up, I just purchased a 1972 scout2 with a 304.
I did all the common tune up stuff , then I put in a new alternator, brake booster(much larger then original), new belt,
well my next step was to put a little bit of a lift on it. I have 31 inch mountain terrain radials on 15 inch mickey thompson rims. My tires rub when I turn

well my question to john (the moderator of binder bulliten told me to ask him) is what would I need to extend/ shorten or change out to install a basic 4 inch rough country lift.
With an ad a leaf in the rear. Because I own a pretty heavy boat.
All advice will help

I also have another question . Im trying to figure out what is neutral 4 low and 4hi on my transfer case. It looks to be orginal. And were can I pick up the transmission cover plate for the interior. Or if its pretty hard to find. Would it be cheaper to just bend a piece of diamond plate and mount it there

Welcome to the ihon forum.

Transfer case section has a lot of good usefull info. Reading up in there will reveal your answer.

I have a spare transmission tunnel cover here in my man cave of a shop, here in richmond. I forget how far lodi is, but you are welcome to come up for the Scout work day scheduled for Saturday March 17. I made a post for it in the babs club section.
Cheers
