For sale, one 1973 Fiat 850, named "il Cannoli". Is 99% complete, with extras.
Asking $1500
Missing the following:
-Bertone fender badges
-OE steering wheel
-top skin
-battery
-some interior components(some are included but questionably useable)
-seats
-good tail light lenses
-spare wheel
I acquired this car several years ago with the intent to sit on it as an investment/restoration project. Since then I acquired many of the missing parts and it is now only needing the above items. This car last ran about ten years back, engine turns by hand. This car comes with the remains of a rolled 1972 850, minus the body. The 1972 year was the only year that the larger displacement 903cc engine was imported, that engine now resides in the car. The original engine is frozen and mostly disassembled, but included. Also included is most of the 72 car. Literally two palates of loose parts and boxes full of small emblems, screws and other rarer bits. There are three of the popular magnesium wheels included, along with the original hubcaps for the steel wheels.
The cars engine turned slowly under battery power, but the harness is pretty hacked. Nothing is functional besides the horn and starter. I do have a wiring diagram that comes with the car. Body has thick primer, but a few rust spots none the less. The battery tray is toast but available as a patch iirc, there is a golf ball size hole in the passenger floor at the feat area, the worst spots are the bottoms of the door frames. All other sheet metal is very good, body is straight, there are a bunch of small dishes and dents throughout, worst ones are above the front wheels and one large dish under the rear bumper. This was a two year only dash, and a one year only bumper set. There are two old dashes included that will need to be spliced together and re-covered with new vinyl. Has four new tires with about 0.01 miles on them installed three years ago. All glass is good. These were commonly scrapped or cut up for parts due to severe rust. They are getting difficult to find in good condition, and I as well as other's in the classic auto world see these getting much more valuable in the future. In this car's case, it's value is in the fact that the body is solid, and the wealth of spares. PM/text me for more info/pics, apparently my picture files are too big to post??? Mods please help!
