FEL-Pro 9567 intake manifold gasket - which side up????

Hello, I am replacing my intake manifold in international 392 V8. Got the new gaskets, but I’m confused as to which side should be up. Feel like it should be common sense as the gasket is stamped/etched with “manifold side” on one side. But I’ve read conflicting info online. Some say the “raised” side should be up, but the raised side on my gasket doesn’t have the “manifold side” stamped on it. See in the pic, the raised side is opposite the “manifold side”

does anyone know which side should be up? Thanks

I always go with what the stamped indicator says, making certain of proper port/hole agreement. Who are the "some" saying to do it otherwise and what do they really know? Was it a bookface group? You can get a lot of opinions regarding any topic on social media, but separating the fact from the BS is often difficult.

Thanks, so in your opinion should the “manifold side” be facing up or down? I called fel-pro customer support and they said the raised side should be up, but that would put the “manifold side” down. Fel-pro said the raised part should be up so that when it compresses it creates a seal. To me the stamped “manifold side” is wrong. I have no clue, why can’t it just say “this side up” thanks for any help

The raised portion stands just as much chance of compressing against the head as it does the intake, so yes, manifold side up facing the manifold as indicated by the stamping.
