My 72 has an unusual wxhasut issue. It has dual exhaust from manifold back, the right side smokes like a chimney and the left nothing what do I need to check for?

Smokes where? At the tailpipe or manifold?

What color is the smoke? Since the pipes are unique to the side, my guess would be a leaking valve seal, head gasket or piston ring is shot.
