Short answer is no. The IH produced inline 4's and sv8 engines have a proprietary bell pattern. Now, IH did source amc sixes as an engine option for the Scout 800 and Scout II models and those were back by several manual transmissions as well as automatics. So your proposed swap is certainly feasible. You just need the right collection of parts. I'm not nearly versed enough with the amc engines and how they were configured in scouts to advise you further, but the information is out there and there are others who are in the know.
