Not sure what my 1970 1100 d engine size is 304 or 345 v8 .. Gas engine original motor, any help out there? Thanks

you might have to do some degreasing and use a wire brush. but look for the stamp just above the passenger side motor mount. backwards of the fuel pump
it looks like this....

A less precise way on a pickup is to look at the mounting bolt holes on the dipstick. They are 1/2" apart. If the bolt is in the lower hole then it's a 304, upper 345 or 392.

Yes the 345/392 deck is 1/2" higher so the top hole is used for these engines. The 196 is the same.
