engine i.d.

[56 binder]

I have a v8 motor I pulled out of a wrecked 73 1/2 ton and cann't find out how to find out what size it is.
I have a serial # of 59583?
Anyone know how to find out?

Do not know where you found the engine serial number... If on engine, the size is in the same place

seems a bit low for 1973 -- put a 1 "in front"?

I just looked that up this morning myself. What I read was that there is a stamping on a machined pad just above the fuel pump. I'll be looking on mine tomorrow night. Need to I.d. An engine myself.
