I know internationals rust. And know there are lots of parts to fix it. At what point do you say, "I'll just part it out"? Right now I have more questions than answeres. Perhaps someone can help with the next step. My 72 scoutii has a 345 with a 3 speed. Got the engine running this last weekend. Their are good parts from the firewall forward, but the floor, body mounts, rear quarters are pretty bad shape. And yes the wiring is more complicated than a spider's web. Frame, good, axles assumed good. Top, is even rusted thru. I'd like to take the body off the frame, roll it over and go to work. Is this a simple process replacing the floor, body mounts? And keeping it all lined up? Or better left to the experts? The mechanics on the frame, engine and tranny I can handle. The body work shows my ignorant side. I would welcome any attack strategies.
