Anyone know of any threads with photos of how to rebuilt doors - locks, handles, windows, the whole shebang. Thanks!

Also, any g2 on a list somwehere with bolt sizes for various applications on the Scout II would be awesome...the body guy who tore the Scout down didnt label squat and I have boxes of misc bolts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just did the windows on a t'ette. If you could be more specific about what vehicle perhaps we could help.

My big challenge was how to do the rivets on bottom of the window channel. I made a "nose extender" for the pop rivet tool to allow this to be done by cutting a short piece of 1/4" rod and drilling a small hole down the center for the post on the rivet. It worked good once the length was correct.

Ok, I've had the doors on my '74 Scout apart. Basically remove the door panel, roll the widow down and remove the clips for the regulator by pushing them to the open portion of the clip. Remove the 2 little screws on the top of the wing window and lift the window out of the door. Pull the plug on the upper door sill and and unbolt the wing window and remove from door.

No you have access to all the latch mechanisms. Remove, clean and grease with white lithium grease. Grease all the window "sliders" with the same grease. New window regulators are available here if needed.

Optional is to replace the felt channel for the window and the wipers on where the window goes into the door. That felt channel is where you'll need to make the tool for the pop rivets.
