Door Latch Question on 1966 1200A Pick Up

My issue is hopefully simple but I would be appreciative for any input. The driver side door on my truck will close and stay shut but it has about 1/2" play in it. Passenger is ok. I wonder about the latch system but have not taken anything apart yet.

Thanks for any ideas on this matter.

It is not clicking into the second position. You need to adjust the striker accordingly.
 
Zaedster, Thanks for the input. I like the idea of adjusting the striker. I have never taken the latch assembly apart but will do so in the nice weather we are now enjoying. Have a productive day!

The striker is on the cab, not latch mech inside the door.
