Dome Light Wiring Help

Hello all. I was wondering if some of you smarter guys out there could help me out. I'm wiring up my dome light in the rear of the Scout and was wondering what the red/green wires are in the very back just above the liftgate. When I took of the interior trim, there was a brown wire grounded to the cab and a red and green wire with a clear clip on it just hanging. Also, there is a dome light in the cargo area and there are also red/black hanging just above the front cab sitting area. Is there supposed to another dome light here as well. Please help me figure this out. Im fairly new to the electric work. I will send pics later if I get no responses. Thanks
 
The red/green wires were to a switch so the light could be turned on from the back. My Scout has just 1 rear roof dome light and a driver and passenger under dash lights.

The system is wired so that all the lights always have power to them and a ground any where in the system will turn on all the lights.
