Hello,
I am contemplating a rear disc conversion for a '74 Scout II 4x4 using the kit available here, and have the same question about the bearings? Can someone familiar with the conversion comment on what has to be done. I'd like to have everything on hand for the job instead of having to stop and order parts.

The bearings do not need to be pressed off when installing the kit. However if they are old and have excessive play or the seal is leaking it is the best time to replace them.
