Dana 30 FA w/disc brakes

I found out the other day when I was changing oil in the rear end and topping off transfer case and front rear end that it's a Dana 30 not 44 that I thought it was, anyway, rear is a Dana 44 with trash lok and front is open. I wanted to put a 4 inch lift and 33's but I think that's too much for the Dana 30 so the question is I'd like to go with the Auburn Gear limited slip in both axles but I can't find one for the Dana 30. If I rebuilt the trash lok could I use it in the front end and go with Auburn in the rear go with 2-2/12 in lift with 31's. My driving is going to be 75% highway / 25% off road. I have cow mt. And the mendocino nat'l forest in my backyard so nothing too terrible. By the way michael mayben the correct spelling of the state to the south of you is can'taffordya.:ihih: thanks all

Put a detroit locker in the rear and leave the front open. That will be way better then two limited slips. If you leave the front open the parts will last alot longer.:icon_cool:

Thanks rock tractor, I saw a lock rite locker that was pretty reasonable, fine print said they were made by detroit locker. I suppose I remove trash lok and carrier and install locker with new carrier. I didn't want to spend too much on drive train right now as I need to replace carb and see if I can get it to run a little better for now. Thanks a lot, Danny

Dont replace the carb rebuild it.. Even if its your first time rebuilding a carb do it yourself because you might get a better carb in the end. Typically most carbs outta the box have problems themselves because the rebuild process is shit.. Its actually really easy . Take pics if your afaid you want be able to put it back together

Feel free to contact us for available lockers, limited-slips, etc and pricing. We stock and can order a lot more than what is listed on our online store.

Thanks for the reply Jeff. I think body mounts are the next item I'm going to tackle after the intake manifold leak. I think my wife and I are going to drive over sometime next week for the propane intake gaskets and welch plugs. Any good places for lunch over there?
