new to the site, I was recommended to come here by another member for expert advice, so here I am!
Preface: I've done a ton of searching on the web at numerous IH/Jeep sites and at various parts stores (napa, autozoo, advance, rockauto, etc...) but am getting conflicting information...shocking right?!
here is my situation, I need to replace the front wheel bearings on my '63 Scout 80 d27 axle w/warn locking hubs (wobbly-wheel). I know the axle takes an inner and outer bearing/race. I went to advance and ordered from what the computer listed (wrong I know...but have had luck in the past) here is what they gave me:
inner cone- p/n: 15123
inner race - p/n: 15245
outer cone- p/n: 09067
outer race - p/n: 09195
these look way too small...thinking they might have given me knuckle bearings???
So I did some more web searches and came up with these part numbers:
both inner/outer cones - p/n: lm501349 (or set45)
both inner/outer cups - p/n: lm501310
so now I am thoroughly confused...I can't compare the bearings yet as I don't have the proper socket to remove the spindle nut (just order it from napa this morning and should be here tomorrow). I guess I'll have to wait until I remove the bearings then bring them with me to the store or hope the p/n is still legible.
But in the meantime if anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate the help!
