Im designing a beefier set of I piece axles for the Dana 27 and need to take critical measurements off of and check fitment of the new bearings and prototypes n such. Doesn't matter if they are inoperable or not - I just need them to dissect.

Thanks!

Thanks mcgyver, I might just be into that. If I don't get any local hits in the next week or so ill take you up on it.

No problem,I'm in no hurry.when I posted a picture of my Scout under new members, it was just before we went to a local lake.

This next picture is after we got home,I turned it off, I heard a clunk, we jacked it up and took the wheel off. Let go right in the drive.I have sence replaced it with an early 44 btw I was wondering, I also have an extra front 27. Would the locked gears in the rear fit in the front? And would it be worth the bother?

Yup, thats exactly what happened to my girlfriends Scout. The axle I am designing is 1.375" at the bearing and goes larger all the way to the back of the wheel mounting flange..... Beefy and way better metal... And for way less than an nos that will simply break again...
