Hi all,
I’m working on a 69’ 1200D 4wd. I’ve swapped the front axle to a GM Dana 44 8 lug w/disc, converted the original Dana 60 rear to disc, and have most of the parts ready for an LS swap with 4l80e and NP241c.
I’m currently working on rust repair of the cowling and have the cab stripped out. In doing so, I’m wondering about the stock air conditioner/heater assembly. Is that worth cleaning up and trying to get it working or look at an aftermarket unit like Vintage Air? My first thought was to get the OE unit working but if the rust repair gets too much I’m tempted to just seal off the cowling vents and use an aftermarket unit. Any thoughts or experience to share?
Thanks!
