I was wondering if there was any possibility of getting a slightly (1.75") narrower back seat produced. I don't have a Scout... But like the idea of fitting a Scout-type back seat in tub of my 1966 land rover.
Unfortunately, the distance between a landy's wheel arches is 36.25"... Instead of the 38" on a Scout. Otherwise, I think it would work perfectly.
Thoughts?...
Cheers!
Edit: okay, now that I've had a chance to examine the seat construction a little more closely... I'm sure I could modify the components myself. Would it be possible to purchase everything except the wood? (the right/left supports, tube rail, etc.) I've tried searching for the individual components on your site & got nothing.
One question though... How deep do the seat supports rest below the top of the wheel arches? My wheel arches rise only 8" off of the tub floor. I see that a Scout's arches are 11" high. If the bench supports are deeper than 8" they will touch the floor & it's time for plan "b." (sigh)
