Cruise Control unit

hello there all!

I have 3 Cruise Control units for Scouts. The have been sitting for years on my shelf, so I thought it would be good time to maybe rebuild one of them for my 79 Traveler. The 79 came with cruise control ( I have that unit) and I want to get it working again. Anyone have any thoughts on this? or, is there, are there more practical units on the market now? The unit is Perfect Circle.

Thanks,

for further information I have attached a couple of snapshots of the unit.

Perfect Circle is out of business and the company that bought them out does not list any assistance for rebuilding units, only new units.

Back on track. Trying to figure out where does the Cruise control regulator actually goes on the firewall (engine compartment side). The original speedo cables (both of them), I still have on the Traveler. I will get new ones made as the original ones are REAL STIFF. I think that I can get the unit functional (I hope) as the internals look ok and spin freely. Even if the unit does not work, it looks pretty cool in the engine compartment. Any pix from others would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by "regulator". The electronics go right there in the Speedo cable. The diaphram to activate the throttle goes right in line with the throttle.
