CPT Front Frame X Brace very close to crank

The crank seems very close to my CPT Front Frame X Brace in my 1976 Scout II install, is this the normal tolerance distance. If not what in your opinion is the fix. I already have new engine mounts.

Thanks,
Paul

The X-brace does sit fairly close to the crank hub, although yours looks closer than normal. Did you pull down on the bar before tightening the bolts? That helps give it a touch more room between it and the dampner. Usually our first suspect is a worn set of engine mounts, but you said you already replace those. If you can't get any extra distance between the brace and the pulley, and you are not comfortable with the existing spacing, you may want to put a 1/4" spacer under the engine mounts to raise it up and away from the bar.

Jeff,

Thanks for the advice, I will try the spacer.
Also I have a 2.5 Skyjacker lift kit installed, do you think it could be causing this?
