Re: Cow Mountain Run

Hey mario,
sounds good to me. I've lived in lake county thirty years now ( locals still consider me a tourist ) and still have not been up cow mountain.
Next time I'm over clearlake way I'll stop by middle town wreckers and say hi

Re: Cow Mountain Run

We tryed to set up a run up there a coupel years ago. As kinda a way to get a north bay chapter going . At the time there wasent much intrest . Sounds lie theres enough intrest now . So count me in . Any idea of a exact date ?

Re: Cow Mountain Run

Looks like I need to join babs. My wife and I go to pillsbury about once a month and cow mt would be a nice change. It would be nice to meet some local Scout owners.

Re: Cow Mountain Run

I want to go to the other places with you guys but I havebt workout all the kincks in my Scout yet and cow isent to far from me and we will have a good time and I will get to meet other IH lovers in person. What ever days you guys have in mind let me know and then I will take them and pic one thats good for everyone ok. Sound good guys. And just so you guys know middletown towing were I work is in clearlake on polk ave. Re: Cow Mountain Run

Never been there. What's it like to wheel?

I've have friends that use to ride their quads there, when they were into it, and loved the it.

Re: Cow Mountain Run

I havent been on all the trails but there are ones that range from beginers to avantce. I figure I will pic a few of each for us to go on I got all the maps on the way to me. So we have them when wee get there. I also think I am going to make copies of them for everyone to have and we can look and pick more to go on if we want 2. I would like for everyone to give me a few dates so I can pic one thats good for everyone. I also hope that I can start the chapter out here for them. The trail over there are good ones I took my old Jeep there when I had it I like it alot it was fun

Re: Cow Mountain Run

I should be good to go sometime in July I would rather trailor my Scout since its a far drive for me and I don't know if my automatic transmission can hold up on long distance driving

Re: Cow Mountain Run

Yea onthe camping there is clearlake state park not far from cow. That would be a better idea. I love camping. Thanks mairo

Re: Cow Mountain Run

I know how you feal. I dont know if my tranny would make it on a long drive to. I hope you make it.

Re: Cow Mountain Run

After this weekend, I should be able to have something to drive for a trip up there. Hint hint vance:ihih:

I would be up for a camp over night, since it is a bit of a drive for me too. But I need to invest in a tent, and should have one very soon

Re: Cow Mountain Run

Hey guys found some info about camping we can do a group site for $75 a night it includes 40 people and 8 trucks. Or we can do the little camp sites they are $35 a night or less we can have eight people but only two trucks. I know know if there is anywere eles we can park them I will call them and find that part out. Here is the website for the park

camping

Re: Cow Mountain Run

That looks doable. How many camp sights available with the 8 rig and 40 people requirement? Might consider trying to get two spots next to each other incase if we end up with more than 8 rigs - 2 camp sights = 16 rigs :icon_wink:

vance - turns out I didn't need to use the wipers for the trip home. But thanks for the effort. I did notice what ya meant regarding the speed. Either off or slow and nothing else. I May try one motor we just pulled out of my rolled Scout to see if it's any better
