Corbeau RS recliners -

Anyone successfully mount a set of these.
I'm hoping to - I'd love to get some wisdom regarding the topic.

Thanks yall,

oh and I just purchased a 71 Scout II four years after selling my 74.
Happy to be back.

Thanks.

I've got a set in my 1980 Scout II. My Dad and I adapted them to the Scout II bases and sliders. What we ended up with is a seat that is way too tall. I've got an adjustable steering column, so I was able to raise the wheel all the way and still drive the truck, but if you don't you May have trouble getting your legs between the wheel and the seat bottom. Regardless the seats are still a bit too high to be comfortable. When I get my Scout up and running again I'll be either getting the corbeau sliders or having new bases tube bases made.

Also, the black fabric on my seats has faded to a dark dark blue. Before I bought them I read some reviews saying the black cloth had faded, but I read some other stuff saying they had changed their dye and the fade issue was gone. Well with my seat bought about 6 years ago, they are now faded. I still love the seats and knew it maybe a problem when I bought them.

Carl,

thanks for the reply.
I am going to purchase the all black vinyl versions and probably just bite the bullet and get corbeau sliders. There is no substitute for comfortable seats.

Thanks everyone,
david

Even with the corbeau sliders they are too high, I have not done this yet, but plan on cutting down the height of the factory seat "stands" a couple of inches when I do the interior

Not sure if you got the baja rs seats in yet..I ordered the corbeau moab's in black vinyl and I love them. I bit the bullet and purchased the double locking slider for my side and the regular slider for the p/s. I will say that these seats fit perfect. I don't have the tilt column so the sliders were a must. Only reason I went with the moab's is obviously the price difference.
