co2 bottle/fire ext bracket

I wanted to make a bracket for my co2 tank and fire ext. So they're not bouncing around in the back. I bent two straps out of 2" wide stainless steel. I used some 2" weld on hinges and a couple of draw latches. The latches are like the ones on a fire ext. Mount. They pull tight and then lock.
Here's a link to the latches:
amazon.com: 1.06 w x 2.66 l, southco adjustable draw latches, w/keeper, zinc plated steel (1 each): industrial & scientific

I put some 4" wide 1/8" plate on the back side to keep the bolts from pulling through. It seems pretty strong.:cornut:

Where did you get the 2" ss strapping? Did you roll the straps or are they just bent under tension from the clasp?

The straps are bent to that shape. They're about 1/8" thick, I just bent them by hand, in a vise and some around the co2 tank.

Have you see a kitchen with an island. There is something above it to hang things on. Any way whatever that thing is called, I found one in the trash at work. If you buy some ss I'd go thinner. Much easier to work with.
