Choosing Shocks 78Scout II

Looking over the reciepts (which the origional owner was very good at keeping!!) it has a 3 inch Rough Country lift kit s610ns, but with es3000 shocks. Then I have two reciepts that each mentioned adding leaf springs. So ive included some pictures. I have been looking at rancho rs9000xl's because of being able to dial in the ride, but it only goes to 3 inch lift. Also looking at just the shocks that come with the Rough Country lifts, the n2.0's, and ofcouse the bilsteins....

The ride is currently very rough on dirt roads! I busted a shackle bolt, I think when I hit a pothole, and just riding over washboards or speed bumps is horrid....

Im trying to figure out what my lift is and which shocks would be best for my configuration.

About 9 months ago I put a set of bilstien's on my 4" lifted Scout and they greatly improved the ride. Had several other types over the years with no noticeable change. The bilstien's were purchased here.
