Carter Thermoquad "Spreadbore" Stuff

Hi mm,
how is my carter carburetor coming along? Also, did you have any luck finding a replacement base gasket for it. The one I sent you was in quite a bad shape.

We're gone on the road for a long weekend involving some club activities.

Took your carb out of the wash tank yesterday before we left, ended up looking pretty good. You will be very happy with it when you see it.

Yes, I have the base gasket for it also, that bis included in the price.

I should have it ready to ship back to you mid-week, we'll be home Monday afternoon.
 
We lost electricity last Sunday, seems to be up and working ok as of today but still goes out from time to time.

Your carb is in a "pile" on the bench waiting for juice so I can finish the cleaning, then it will be ready. More to come in the next few days once I get everything else back in order.

I did not mean to push. Just take whatever time you need. I get to travel a little more for my job, so whenever it is done jsu let me know then.

Your tq should be ready to ship on Monday, April 3.

I'll let you know when to call Jeff for payment and once I receive an invoice from the shop I'll drop it off.

Please remember that I need to have a gasket with the tq (the same as one I sent you, but better shape, new or remanufactured one if you have).

I've had a lot of trouble with your carb wayne. And on top of that I've spent some time recently in the hospital.

But I will get it done and shipped as soon as I can. The fuel bowl is now repaired correctly.

sorry to hear about your health issues. We are getting that age where all the gears need lube now and then. I hope you are all well now.

Take your time and don't work too hard.

By the way, do you know if there is another rebuilt tq carb that I can buy and keep as spare? Or do I need one?

mm had another round of the same stuff just a week or so ago. He has been limited to what he can do. Do you have another way to contact him? If not maybe I can send one to you in a pm.
