This is something I’m going to try to do after every meeting. It’s just a little run down on the meeting for those of you that couldn’t make it. Our February meeting featured a presentation on IHSTO extreme wheeling. The powerpoint was put together by monte and then narrated by monte and daniel. It was a great presentation and opened a lot of eyes to what some of us put our scouts through. Nice job guys..

our next two road rallyes are planned and they are as follows.

feb 20th. This one will follow the nestucca river from the coast range to pacific city. Once in pacific city we will have lunch at the pelican brewery. welcome to the pelican pub & brewery This should be a great trip.

March 20th On this rallye we will visit the western antique aeroplane & automobile museum in hood river. We will be driving part of the way there on the historic columbia river hwy. index This should be a fascinating trip as well.

The new obdr coordinators are phil hinds and colin rush. This year’s obdr will be less of a route and more of a discovery. It will take place aug 14-22 in the steens mountain and surrounding area.

We had 4 new members at this month’s meeting. Which I think brings our total this year to an even 10 new members. Which is awesome and I am in email contact with several others that haven’t been able to make it to a meeting yet.

Next month's meeting will be on March 4th. We will have a presentation on past obdr trips. With pictures from greg foster and some stories from phil and a few other past participants. Don’t miss it.

Will there be a thread just for the obdr trip? We've got projects down toward the steens and I could make a working trip down there.

Yes. It will start soon. Stay tuned. We also will be traveling to the east side to have our "dunes trip" this year it's going to be in la pine. Details will follow soon...:cornut:

La pine... Good. I grew up there and I know the area well. My parents still have two cabins, one on the little deschutes, right there.

I hope I can take the time to go. Taking the 30 mile trip from la pine to north twin, south twin, wickiup resevoir, big lava and little lava lakes, or traveling even further on the cascade lakes scenic byway and seeing big cultis, little cultis, elk lake, hosmer lake (with the land locked salmon), sparks lake, devils lake and whatever mountain lakes you can hike to off the pacific crest trail head.

I spent most of my life up in those lakes and I know them well. If I don't get to go I will be envious.

The lodge over at south twin lakes would be a great place for you guys to head to one of the days. A picturesque outdoor restaurant on the shores of a beautiful little lake.

That way we can keep information and discussion that was generated during the subject meeting in the same place for the new folks to be able to put names, faces, and bullshit together!

But I draw tha line at wearin' any kinda uniform for this gig, I ain't into roleplayin' since I live in my own fantasyland 24/7!
