Can you spin leaf spring castor shims

So I pulled a classic move this weekend. I was putting in 4 inch front springs - amongst moving in a house and shopping for mattresses and I put them in with the castor shims in the wrong direction. (take a moment and laugh and enjoy)

so, can I loosen the u-bolt plates and spin the shims around, so the angle is correct, or do I have to take the springs off entirely - spin them around and start again?

Oh the joy.

By the way - they are rancho springs if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

Assuming this is a Scout II with a stock SUA config? If you bolted the shims to the spring pack using the center bolt that came with the springs, then yes you can do that. But you'll have to support the truck by the frame and unload the u-bolts. In other words, the suspension has to be at full droop. Then loosen everything up and spin the shims around.
But before you start, the shims are only wrong if they are installed with the skinny end pointed backwards. The shims will angle the front diff yoke closer to the ground when installed correctly.
Just pointing that out before you dive in.

Thanks for the reply - yeah - fully rushed all weekend - did this one backwards - glad to know I can correct this without redoing the whole shebang.

Much appreciated.
