Can we run hollow pushrods?

Yepp, I have to check again with the push-rods from the 345. I don't have a consistent set for the 392, it was already torn down and in more or less incomplete piles when I got it.

Could try swapping over the rocker setup as well. Not sure what kind of hg is running in that engine, it might be a steel shim. The 392s have always been running composite hg at ~0.04" afaik.

If I'm able to run the parts I already have in the 345, nothing is better than that :-d

Finally did a new test, and what do you know. I took the wrong measurements off the old pushrods. They are 9.75 not 9.375. Now my newly made, adjustable pushrod is
shorter when I take out the lash. It all makes sense. I add about 0.06" for lifter preload and end up with a rod of 9.59, which I find offered at a very reasonable price from sealed power (rp-3172c).

Thanks for all the help guys! Measurement was indeed the way to go!
