Are the stock replacement cams regrinds, new, or NOS right now. It’s time for a rebuild and I’d really like a NOS cam. I feel like that would be the most trust worthy option now days.

NOS cams haven't existed in 40 years. Many of the new cams were new blanks reground. They no longer make any blanks for stock grinds, all current stock camshafts are reground. We've never had an issue with them. The IH engine isn't a Ferrari engine, as long as you have the correct lifter preload and break-in, you'll be fine.

I would assume that y’all change to a light valve spring to do the cam break in. Would you happen to have a part number of what you use.
