Cage tie in

got seats from an 89 camaro and mounted them to the cage pics to come soon. Does anyone see any problems that might arise with this cage? What would you do different if it was your 800? Should I add more diagonals? The cage supports the body more than the og mounts ever did so no bushings for me, also no frame flex for me solid. Can I swap the windshield for one from an 80 or is the frame more permanent than a sii?

Not even a " well I wouldnt have done it that way"

You need a x in the b and c pillers, if not that thing will most likelly fold over which ever way you flop. If the rig is a trail only rig I wouldnt worry about not having bushings but if you drive it on the street at any speed your going to rattle yourself to death.

Other than that it looks good from what I can see from the pics, just remember if/when you roll, is it strong enough to put your life (others lifes) in its hands? If so....wheel the piss out of it.

I have added rear ataris and a bunch of gussets with 1" still pondering tie in of b and c pillars, just dont know what I want yet. I am trying to avoid an x because I like the opening and the only thing in the rear will be cargo and 300 lbs. In the form of 2 shepherds which will be be powering themselves. Any ideas aside from an x for the b to c tie in.

Are you talking from b to c or within b and c?

This is what I was saying for the b piller....

And maybe something like this for the rear, so you can still use the rear top hatch.....

More progress. Next some diagonals.

That looks great, especially with all those little braces youve put in there. How far away are you from wheeling it? Still thinking about the 4.3?

The 4.3tbi and adapter are waiting in the garage, just need a harness. This week well take out the cage, finish weld, paint, and take the axles to my gear guy for the arbs and gears. Then come up with money for driveshafts so however long that takes. I'll finish the rear deck while the axles are getting done.

Braces and new diff covers and now I have a 350tbi
