I saw on the web that the CA. 4wd ass. Convention is comming up feb 26-28. I was thinking about going.dont realy know what its all about tho, plus im not a menber yet. I am thinking I could join there? Any one have any input? Thanks

Interesting stuff. It’s all the political shit. Cal4 is basically a lobbying group representing four-wheeling in sacramento and washington. Anyone who offroads in California should give thanks to them via their membership. There is power in numbers and cal4 needs membership dollars to battle the sierra club and other environmental groups. [that’s why I include a cal4 app in the rallye grab bag]. I would like to see Jeff encourage cal4 more. A portion of Jeff’s business depends upon cal4’s success.

Make the trip to sacramento. Convention is the big party of the year for it’s three districts. Lot’s of official business happen that weekend and is open to members to sit in. There is an open trade show featuring all the major manufactures and suppliers with their latest gear. They still might have seminars. There is a show-n-shine Saturday. Buy the Saturday night dinner ticket – you’ll see the movers and shakers of the California wheeling scene.

Nobody from sw had attended a meeting in years so I thought I would sit in on a central district meeting and see what it was about. The next thing ya know I was a delegate for scouts west and a corporate sponsor for couple years. Ya ought to go to a district meeting sometime. You will view offroading differently. District meetings are a good way of getting to know people from other clubs.
