Brake videos

Just checking to see if there are any videos that address caliper and rotor removal/install for 71 Scout II. I looked through the brake forum but did not see anything right away. Thanks

I don't think you'll find that on this forum. Are you sure you have disc brakes on the front? A '71 model year would have had drums all the way around. If you do have front disc brakes, your particular front axle is either a d30 that has been po converted, or a d44 that was swapped in from a '74 or later Scout. Removing the caliper unit is pretty straight forward. The rotor is retained by the large wheel bearing/spindle nuts. So the outer locking hub assembly must be removed first, which will give you access to the large nuts and the outer wheel bearing. If you have auto hubs or lock-o-matic hubs, the retention items encountered will be slightly different. I think your first step is to properly identify your front axle and lockout hubs. Then someone May be kind enough to provide you with a pdf scan from the appropriate service manual, if you don't have your own, so you can follow the steps.
