brake help

here in the next 2 weeks i will be buyinga 1965-75 loadstar 16-1800 with DAYTON wheel setup, is ther a diffence in brakes shoes from front to back? can i use brake shoes from a ny mfgr that uses dayton assy? can i use brakes from a 2001 truck with daytons on a 65-75 era truck?

Sorry for the stupid questions but want to know what i need to bring with me. oh these are all gas engines manual transmissions, some have a 2 spd rear some are single speed if it makes a difference
 
Sorry, I think you are going to need to look at what's n the trucks to see what is installed. Between all the options when new and any changes made over the years, who knows what's there now.
 
i think i can reu;se this one. i have purchased a 71 1210 with 4 wheel drum brakes i was able to bleed the rear brakes out with no issue, i can not get fluid to move to the front. i replace the brake master i think the prop val;ve is stuck to back brakes how do i reset it, i can and will get pics in the AM to help with further diagnostics
