I've got a 1964 Scout 80.. I need to replace a end cap.. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove and install?? Thanks for any help you can give.
 
You will need to pull the quarter panel. Drill the spot welds on the top rail as well as under the body. There are quite a few... You can either cut the few that attach the quarter to the rocker panel with a body saw/sawzall or you will need to pull the rocker with it as one assembly. I installed/removed my endcap/quarter/rocker panel as one assembly as that was how it looks like they did it from the factory. Quite a bit of work, but you can take care of any rust and paint everything before you reinstall it.
