blinded by the blue

I just got through wiring and installing my new dash panel w isspro gauges and it looks great! I do have one issue. this blue bright lights led is so bright its absolutely un-usable. the blinker and break lights are all a reasonable brightness, I don't get the difference. has anyone else who installed this panel from IHPA had this issue and did you find a matching replacement?

This got no response so I assume I just got a faulty led. If anyone else has this problem amazon has leds almost the same size. I got one with a headlight symbol on it. I had to drill out the hole one size, the amazon light is much more sane and works well

I missed this earlier, but yes it is extremely bright, the fix is to add a resistor in series with the LED to reduce the current flowing though it (this reduces the brightness too, engineer talking).

I used a 220 ohm 1/4 watt on mine and this seemed to help a lot.

Engineer talking, because LEDs operate at an optimized fixed current / or voltage depending on regulation, they are often best dimmed via PWM. Pulse Width Modulated power supplies.
You need to know what type of onboard power supply regulation is installed in the light to know for sure how to dim it correcty.
