Not IH -- a few pictures of steam tractors parked on the powerland grounds.

Powerland hosts a steam up in July or August -- draws a large crowd from what I am told.

Powerland is a group of clubs (mostly tractor from what I understand) and there are buildings with displays. But, I never remember to go see if they are open during the bee.

Steam up! Is the premier event for the year for the antique powerland museum association. Income from that event is what keeps the gates open! Dates this year are the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August...approximately 40,000 folks from all over the world spread over the two weekends.

Powerland is a consortium of many special interest vehicle organizations and historical societies. Check 'em out for more info:

antique powerland home page

Powerland is one of the great hidden treasures in the u.s.! IHSTO is extremely fortunate to have a great relationship with the powerland folks who provide us with an outstanding venue for the bee! And hopefully by next bee, the new blacksmith shop will be going up, along with the move-in of a complete "line shaft" shop that was mothballed back in the 30's and has been preserved to be re-located to powerland in that area adjacent to the shower house there in the rv campground, the original building including line shafts that were "in progress" when the business closed down.

The next powerland event that will involve IHSTO is a volunteer effort to provide the parking organization for the pacific northwest truck museum show, an one day event scheduled for aug. 22, 2009.

The huge parking lot in front of the powerland facility will be filled (along with the grounds inside the gate) with over-the-road big rigs from all over the u.s. Who gather for the one day show and then disappear into the nite after sundown! These are show trucks used in daily operations keeping this country running, all gathered in one place for a few hours of fun, food, and jaw-time!

IHSTO will be soliciting volunteers for the truck show assignment at the August 6 club meeting.

Only one pic of the ihonlynorth crew???? Of course I am not smart enough to take my own pictures and am stuck behind the booth so I rely on you people!! Come on someone post up please!!

Wysiwyg -- I was not a very thorough documentarian...

And, I forgot my step ladder so I could "see" into your engine compartment...

The rope is actually attached to an australian cattle dawg ron!

This guy was at the bee last year with an IH armored car that he's converted to a campmobile, he's "swirl-polished" (kinda like "engine turning"??) the stainless interior and it's 392-powered!

This single seat rig I didn't get full details on, but we will!

Here's the front sheet from a sales brochure regarding these rigs.

There are more pics of the IH only crew, but you will have to wait for a later publishing.:icon_domokun:

The dude brought the one man cab to a club meeting a few years back. It was sold as a pipe hauler and has a hatch in the top so the driver can get in and out when pipe is stacked in front of the doors.

His typical builds involve some obscure body dropped on a Chevy 3/4 or 1 ton frame and running gear....

Thanks for clearing that up I guess the size of the rope fooled me :icon_lol:
I never notice that the loadstar was a one man cab, I have never seen one before.
All the more reason I need to make an appearance at the bee!!!
I hope you guys don't mind me cutting in on an IHSTO post.

Ron
