Just curious, has anyone ever looked into the idea of machining new hubs in order to move to a newer bolt pattern for the ih trucks?

Or is there any newer wheel that would even fit over axle housing on those hubs? Maybe 8-10 lug wheels.
 
Short of spending enough to send a kid to college, or buying another decent condition vehicle, swapping axels will be the easiest. There's a few write ups floating around on various processes.

I did find some assistance, atleast with with the fronts, Binder Bonyard posted a YouTube video that swaps the front end shafts and hubs over to a generic 8 lug, with disc conversion.
