Best tool for oil pump priming

Hey All, trying to follow MMayben's guide to properly pre-oiling older engines so I don't blow out the crank bearings. I have a S800 304. Ran into a snag of sorts plus never done this before. I bought a cheap (HF) long screw driver, cut the handle off and put it into a cheap (HF) drill. When I went to start priming the oil pump the "bit" started to shake and then the drill started to smoke. Took the bit out and just ran it to see what was up outside of the dizzy whole and the bit is very bent. I can but a better quality bit but wanted to know before I went crazy if there was a specific tool I can buy and not f around with the mickey mouse stuff I am using. I also took out my hammer drill and will use that instead of the cheapo HF drill I have...any suggestions would be appreciated...

I use a 3/8" flat wood bit, with the point ground off, along with the extension that came with the set. Works perfect and if a 3/8' hole is needed in wood a twist drill works just fine.

Just saw that on your site. Bought a bunch of stuff from you guys in the past only problem is if I need something fast we are 3k miles away. Going to try the long wood drill first first and grind off the point, if that doesn't work then I will be ordering one of these. Might order it either way but I'm in the middle of this now..

Do you guys sell a manual oil pressure tester with the line and fitting as a package?
