I'm restoring my 78 Scout 2 and im having to put in a new rear floor. Iv'e got a floor from an 8ft truck bed and I lost my diagram. Can someone give me the dimensions(total length, width, wheel wheel spacing from front and rear.) help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a Scout II but when you get done are you going to put in a bed liner? If so, check out monster liner, I used it in my 800 in the floor boards and it's great!

I used it in the floorboard of my Scout, it seems to be holding up well. I wish I had used it in the bed. The main thing is prep. When you think you are done, go over it again.

I found my diagram finally. Now I need to get my front fenders off and have no clue whats holding them on now.

Where are you located? I don't know if it is for the Scout II but for the 800 you have bolts across the top of the fender inside the engine compartment, under the fender near the door and inside the nosepiece.

I have most of those bolts out, the nose around the lights is giving me some trouble though. It seems like something is holding it near the windshield base. I took out the 2 bolts connecting the door jamb to the fender though.

Have you looked up inside the wheel well? I'm thinking there are some there.

I think there are also three that you access from the openings for the headlights, two down at the lower valence, and five in the door jamb. I know though that for mine I couldn't actually remove the fenders without removing the doors due to the tight clearance.

My doors are off, those several bolts out, all the bolts I can see on top of the fender, the 2 in the top hinge hole. The bolts around the head lights are still in but they arent stopping me. The fender seems stuck around the top corner by the windshield frame but I dont see any bolts now.

There was a small screw hidden under the hood cowl that was holding the passenger side in place. Is there an easy way to remove the front clip or should I just try to pull fenders off by themselves?
